How to Replace the Display on Your E-Twow Electric Scooter

If the display on your E-Twow scooter has stopped working, is cracked, or no longer shows information properly, don’t worry—replacing it is a straightforward repair you can do yourself with just a few tools. At our shop, we provide original E-Twow spare parts so you can keep your scooter running like new.

Below is a step-by-step guide to help you replace the display safely.

What You’ll Need

  • Replacement E-Twow display (compatible with your model)

  • A set of Allen (hex) keys

  • Small Phillips screwdriver

  • Electrical tape or heat shrink (optional, for securing wires)

  • Patience and a clean workspace

Step 1: Power Off and Prepare

  1. Make sure the scooter is turned off.

  2. If possible, disconnect the scooter battery for extra safety.

  3. Place the scooter on a flat surface to avoid slipping while working.

Step 2: Remove the Handlebar Grip and Screws

  1. Unscrew the bolts holding the handlebar plastic cover (where the display is mounted).

  2. Gently remove the handlebar grip if needed for easier access.

  3. Lift off the plastic cover to expose the wiring underneath.

Step 3: Disconnect the Old Display

  1. Locate the display connector—it’s a plug attached to the main control wires.

  2. Carefully disconnect the old display cable from the connector.

  3. Remove the screws that hold the old display in place.

Step 4: Install the New Display

  1. Position the new display in the same spot as the old one.

  2. Secure it with the screws you removed earlier.

  3. Connect the new display cable to the main connector. Make sure it clicks firmly in place.

Step 5: Test the Display

  1. Reconnect the battery (if you unplugged it).

  2. Turn on your scooter and check that the display lights up.

  3. Test basic functions such as speed indicator, battery level, and lights.

Step 6: Reassemble the Handlebar

  1. Once the display is working, replace the handlebar cover.

  2. Tighten all screws securely.

  3. Reinstall the grip if you removed it earlier.

Final Tips

  • Always use original spare parts for the best performance and durability.

  • If the new display doesn’t turn on, double-check the wiring connection.

  • If you’re unsure about the repair, consult a professional service center.
